So technically, this is more of a blouse, because it doesn’t have a collar or cuffs, but blouse is a bit of an old-lady word, right? This has a v-neckline which is flattering but it’s not too low cut, so your girls will be kept private. The swing ties give you added versatility—tie it up for a covered look, or leave them hanging loose with a button undone for a more casual vibe. 

The best thing about this shirt is the wondrous sleeves. Puffs are so on-trend this season and for good reason, they add depth to your frame and help emphasise your best parts. Our sleeves have plenty of volume without being too stiff or 1980s-style extravagant. The cuffs feature three rows of shirring and a pretty ruffle trim that draw the eye to your hands (better get a manicure). The elastic means you can control the puff of the sleeve a bit, push it up for more volume, or pull it down for a closer fit. 

Our designer and owner Janine has been very careful about the fit. Her favourite saying is, ‘we don’t want to wear a sack!’ Which means she has been quite fussy about getting the cut right — not too baggy but not stiff and clingy. Across the back there are gathers and pleats to create more shape across the shoulders. The cut gives shape and sits nicely. It won’t catch on your bum, but skim in all the right places. 

The sides feature extra splits so you can go for the full tuck, half-tuck or knot the shirt at the waist, without the shirt gathering at the back and losing shape or riding up. Which is splendid if you have a tummy or a butt that needs covering. 

Our finely-woven linen is then enzyme treated to make it soft, so it falls beautifully from day one. But the best part? The more you wear and wash it, the softer it gets, so it becomes more comfortable and flowy with each wear. And due to the strength of the linen it remains durable and strong, so you don’t have to worry about see-through fabrics.
