Purple Hibiscus Jungle Dress

What a stunning print! We are so incredibly proud of this one-of-a-kind fabric that we 100% promise you cannot find elsewhere in Australia. No other Aussie label has this fabric — as our founder Janine gobbled up the entire batch. 

On paper, a combination of animal print and floral seems confusing but as you can see from the photos, it absolutely works and makes a helluva statement. This dress holds a special place in Janine’s heart as the colourway is the foundation for the entire release collection. 

Using this fabric, Janine sat down and played with fabric samples to come up with the launch colour palette of indigo, purple, coral, green and white. The colours all work together in this dress so beautifully. And our entire collection matches in the same way. 

What makes it extra special is the addition of the boho batik print to the hem and sleeves, a truly eye-catching detail that adds softness and intrigue. 

The universally flattering v-neck suits all bustlines while (as with all our dresses) the cut nips below the bust and drops lower at the rear to flatter from all angles. The shirred elastic won’t dig and it’s not excessive - just enough to add shape, detail and comfort. The sleeves are soft and floaty, with the lace detail trim that draws the eye upwards. The split sleeves soften the look further and give you 100% confidence that they’ll never pinch or dig. 

About that lace, because Janine spent forever getting it right. It’s cotton lace, hand dyed, which of course adds to the cost, but also means this lace is stronger, won’t snap or fade and of course, it looks lovely. The fabric is high-quality rayon, another natural fabric that breathes with you, making it excellent for anyone who gets the sweats (day, night whatever). 

Just in case you are not in love yet, this baby has pockets! 

The cut falls to the mid-calf if you’re average height and should still be below the knee unless you’re super tall.  Shooter women will find it falls lower again of course. 

Please note that the placement of the hibiscus flowers will vary. They are all in similar locations, but not completely uniform, which means your dress really is unique!
